poslkdf
Hi, I am in a dilemma right now. I have a GPA of 3.77 but I am currently taking first-year English course and expect to receive a 2.3. It will bring my GPA down to 3.72. Should I drop the course or continue on? Does McMaster calculate GPA using only courses completed in undergrad program only or do they calculate courses taken after undergrad as well? I graduated in 2016, if relevant. Thanks. McMaster calculates any and all undergraduate courses, regardless if in degree program or not. Drop the course. Bambi

poslkdf
Another reason would be, if I don't get into McMaster, I am shooting for UBC which require 6 units. Is the difference in GPA of 3.77 and 3.72 vast?
canadianguy7
At the end of the day your GPA is worth a third of your interview score. Still depends on MCAT CARS section (1/3) and CASPER (1/3). So what's your MCAT CARS score? Here's my own personal experience: I had a 3.70 GPA /128 CARS didn't get interview. This year I had a 3.77/128, got on the waitlist, and finally got the interview two weeks before the interview date. I think my GPA definitely helped me get that little boost to getting on the interview waitlist, but again, who knows how well you can do on the CASPER? I could've improved signficantly on the CASPER (I spent a lot of time preparing for it this year). Also, I know people that had 3.95 GPAs and 130 CARS that didn't get an interview...so anything can happen.
