Difference between good and bad waitlist

Hi guys, for the email that we will be receiving on May 14, how do we tell apart if we have been placed on the good waitlist or the bad waitlist. I.e. does the email specifically say that we are on a "good" waitlist vs a "bad" waitlist?

Won’t know until the day of. One year they just sent one generic waitlist email, no indication of ranking. Last year they had an email that said “based on your ranking, it is unlikely you will be offered a position” or something to that effect.

Thanks dude!! Would it be correct to infer that the good waitlist says "based on your ranking, it is likely that you will be offered a position" or something similar?

It wasn't like this last year. The bad waitlist email was the same as the good waitlist email except it had an extra sentence saying "based on your ranking, it is unlikely you will be offered a position". People should treat a bad waitlist email as a rejection.

Exception: last year it appears as though all CNFS program interviewees that weren't accepted received the good waitlist email, there was no bad waitlist.
