anhydrouswater
I've attended Pride for many years - would it be a bad idea to put it as an activity? It would tie in with my other activities as well. Being queer is part of my identity, and it's shaped me as a person. I think it paints a better picture of who I am. Just looking for insight as to how it might seem to admissions. Would it seem like I'm just trying to fill a space? Any thoughts are appreciated
jnuts
I think writing "attending Pride" would come off as disingenuous unless you were involved in an advocacy or organizational role. I'm not trying to disparage the event's personal importance to you, and I think that being open about your identity is a good idea in general. However, that particular phrasing rubs me the wrong way. anhydrouswater
Instagrammar
If you are a member of the LGBTQS community, perhaps writing about that as an experience and tying in pride/commitment to LGBTQS community through the description? The diversity section was really meant for anything, so if you can write about your experiences in that regard then by all means include it. anhydrouswater
anhydrouswater
Thank you two for the feedback! I am involved with the LGBTQ2S+ community in other capacities, so I might do what you said Instagrammar!
