anonymouspls
This person was a bad example for this article because she is from London and had basically near a 80% chance of getting in either way even without the ABS in previous years. I'm interested to see the changes they have in store with the access pathway for future cycles.
older
It's a good approach but will not be popular in the current environment ruled by obsession with numerical scores. "Autobiographical sketch, reviewed and scored by a panel of physician and non-physician reviewers"? Nooo. Too subjective. Those who spend lots of time and effort manipulating their GPA will feel the injustice.
doxycyclin
I think that's a good thing, I remember Western used to have pretty high MCAT cutoffs

Edict
Generally speaking I like Ontario's system of a school for each type of candidate. The high MCATs used to go to Western, High GPAs to Ottawa, High verbal/CASPer to Mac and the overall holistic schools were Queens and Toronto. Generally speaking I like Ontario's system of a school for each type of candidate. The high *CARS* in MCATs used to go to Western, High GPAs to Ottawa, High verbal/CASPer to Mac and the *Mysterious holistic* school is Queens and Very high GPA is *Toronto*. Each school has its own criteria but none really looked at the whole package of GPA, MCAT and ECs as a whole, unless US MD schools.
