Class of 2020-2021 Seat Breakdown

Just wondering if anyone knows the exact seat breakdown for this application cycle. I believe for the last few years it has been 9 OOP, 6 PEI, 30 NB, and 68 from NS. But I have also seen a number of articles about how the NS government is funding more seats in an effort to address the physician shortage in the province.

The article says the seats will be reserved for students from rural areas and for those with African Nova Scotian or Indigenous backgrounds. But if these seats aren't filled, does that mean there are additional seats for this upcoming year for other NS applicants? Does anyone have more insight on this or more information?

Only admissions knows the answer to this. Anything anyone says on here would be speculation. I’d contact them directly.

If it's the NS government funding the seats, than they will be for NS residents.  There will be a preference for rural/African Nova Scotian/Indigenous applicants, but any remaining seats would be allocated to NS applicants.

So there is 80 NS resident seats (up from 68 this year)?
