MCAT: 510 (129,126,129,126). wGPA: 3.99 (Biology undergrad, now second year thesis masters). ECs: pretty decent, but average. Three years at hospital upto now, with lots of communication with people. Tutoring at a multicultural organization for immigrant youth. LOTS of research (currently a second year MSc student, with a first-author publication at low impact journal, 3 conferences, mentored 4 undergrads).Teaching assistant experience for 5 terms. Two OGS, two NSERC-USRA . A bunch of short term stuff here and there. Essays: average (some I feel were strong, others were weak). References: I feel like I chose people who told me they’d write me strong references. Rejections: McMaster, Ottawa (First time applicant).
