Questyquest Posted February 15, 2020 Report Share Posted February 15, 2020 Hi there, I've applied to MD and MD-PhD programs across the country and was fortunate to receive a couple MD-PhD interviews but from U of T got an MD-only interview. I was wondering, if I were fortunate enough to receive an MD-PhD admission offer, and the deadline is early March for acceptance, then does that mean I will be removed from consideration for the U of T MD program? I'm just wondering if there's any way to know if I could do an MD at U of T before committing to an MD-PhD somewhere else. medstudentwannabe2 Posted March 4, 2020 Report Share Posted March 4, 2020 There won't be a way to find out about your UofT MD status before the MD-PhD offer deadline. You will have to either decline your MD-PhD offer and hope you get U of T or accept your MD-PhD offer and forget about U of T. I think my advice would be to accept your MD-PhD offer if you get one. Godsavethequeen Posted March 4, 2020 Report Share Posted March 4, 2020 Talk to uoft admissions about it and explain your circumstances. then, most probably, they will let you know what their policies are and what they can do for you. I have dealt with them in the past and they seem like really understanding people. It's better to talk to them directly because they are involved in the admissions process.
