Is there an advantage to bilingualism for Ottawa admissions?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have an interview at UOttawa on the 29th. I have declared bilingualism on my app, since I spent elementary and highschool in French schools. Apparently they ask you again the day of the interview to declare whether you are bilingual so they can test you on it. It's been 4-5 years since I've used my French, so it's admittedly pretty rusty. Should I just say I'm not bilingual, or is there some sort of advantage in the selection process?
