scoobydoo1623
Does going to UofT confer any advantage in securing an interview at USMD schools? Any one have advice RE: the entire process for Canadian applicants, based on solid data or anecdotes? Thank you!
zxcccxz
I know that USMD schools do care to *some* extent what undergrad you went to. Certainly doesn't hurt your app if you attended Harvard or Yale as an undergrad compared to DeVry university. As to whether UofT could give you an advantage, I have no idea. It's certainly a great school, but it's not hard to get into UofT undergrad at all (meanwhile, it's super competitive to get into Ivy's). If there was an advantage it would probably be minimal, and I would advise not choosing an undergrad based on that (especially when there are great MD programs in Canada that you prob have a better chance of getting into, and who don't care really at all about your undergrad institution). bearded frog
Not on paper, but if it gets to an interview then its definitely one that everyone will have heard of!
