Would it be okay to start practicing sutures before school starts?

hahaha.

question your bio says you're phd/md, how are you able to do both in just 5 years at McGill?

I already started (officially in january '20, but less officially in august '19) & I'll be continuing during my MD (part-time + summers). RIP my free-time, lol! (like I ever had any anyway)

Don't forget cutting the suture just the right length. You'd lose out on the memorable experience of disappointing your attending.

Pro-tip: Ask the attending if they want the suture cut too short or too long.

God-tip: If the attending is cutting your sutures, tell them they cut it too short or too long.

(Disclaimer: Only do these once you know the attending well enough to know they'll think it's funny, I'm not responsible if you fail your rotation.)

If you are feeling particularly brave, ask the gyne when you are supposed to cut the ureter :0

nice! do you see yourself doing a french or english residency?

I have no idea yet, but will apply to both. I'm native in french, but I will be going through med school in english (which is stressing me out a little bit)... So at this point I suppose I will not make much of a difference, but I still have plenty of time to think about it!
