PopShoppe
Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could get some opinions about writing about my connection to Newfoundland in the "Additional Information" section. I'm an OOP student who was born in Ontario and still lives here. However, my mom's side of the family (including her) are all from Newfoundland and most of my family continues to live there today. My dad also grew up in Newfoundland as my paternal grandparents lived there for quite awhile. As such, I've visited many many many times and I've always loved it (even outside of going to school I've been seriously considering moving out East). Obviously, I am considered an OOP applicant and should absolutely be treated as such. However, seeing as how I have some ties to Newfoundland that some other OOPs may not, I was curious, would there be any value discussing this in the "Additional Information" section? I'm not sure if it counts as "autobiographical information" and I've already used the section to list some of my conference presentations and publications. However, if this would be noted in MUN's more holistic review of my application, then maybe it's worth it? I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone may have Thanks!
