Does anyone know if McMaster's OT waitlist is moving? If you got an offer, what spot were you on the waitlist? Trying to wait patiently but it's a bit difficult haha

Just got off the McMaster waitlist at 8:30am! I was #6 on the list. Will be accepting the offer! I'm hoping it moves for you!

Congrats! That's great to hear that it is already moving :) Oh! And how long did they give you to reply for accepting the offer?

Hi everyone!

I just got off McMaster's OT waitlist at 8:30 this morning! I was #7 on the list. I'll probably be accepting McMaster, so a will open up a spot for those on the UofT OT waitlist!

Applied: (OT) Queens, UofT, Western, McMaster
Accepted: Queens, UofT,
Waitlisted: McMaster (accepted off waitlist)
Rejected: Western
GPA: c-gpa = 3.74 and s-gpa = 3.88

Perceived strength of essays/interviews/references:

I didn't have any direct volunteer experience with OT. Also, I absolutely bombed my Casper test. My references were pretty average. I believe that my essays were very strong, and that my interview for McMaster was quite strong as well. This was my first time applying for OT and I did not expect to receive any offers since I had no experience all, so I think the essays portion had a huge impact on my application.

Hey everyone, so UofT's OT waitlist moves AFTER everyone's offers become firm? Does that basically mean the only ones who would see waitlist movement would be those that haven't firmly accepted any offers? Thanks in advance!!

I had a W and an F on my transcript from first year. My GPA in first year was 2.70, wasn’t that much better in second year either. I just got really good grades for the last few years of my undergrad and a lot of volunteer/work experience. (I also Pass/Failed a course last year)

First time applying this year and I got into McMaster, Western, and waitlisted for UT!

You got this guys!! Keep working hard, you will get those acceptance letters!!

If you don't mind me asking, what was your sGPA from your last few years? :)

Last name starts with N. When I got my email yesterday, they attached a pdf letter with their decision. The pdf was named (lastname, firstname) so I wouldn't be surprised if they are doing it alphabetically.

I guess you were right. I just got an email saying I was placed on the waitlist. Here's hoping for some solid movement on the waitlist.

For those still on a waitlist - stay positive! :) I got off of both U of T and Western's PT wait list yesterday. I'll be declining Western and Queen's (which I was accepted to earlier), so the wait list should move for those two schools!
