Help with the CV

Hi!!

I'm currently writing my CV for McGill and i have a little question. I've done some summer research internships and i got some good scholarships. Should i put the scholarships with the research (in the research section), or should i put the scholarships in the award section? I don't want to repeat myself and i want to save some place, so i don't know what to do!

I know this is unrelated to the question, but how are people writing up their CV, like are you writing only the formal job description or are you writing up what you learnt and how the activities demonstrate CANMEDs qualities directly?

I think it's very useful to give a bit of an explanation at least for the 2-3 activities that really define who you are. It's a tremendous opportunity to give a short interview answer before getting an actual interview and it makes your CV much more personal. When I applied we could not submit a personal essay, so I inserted parts of what I would have liked to communicate in the CV.
