Research - doing my own project vs working on another?

I reached out to a research supervisor and she said she would love to have me on board but the work is mainly data entry. I want to build a good relationship with her so I don't want to outright ask, but should I ask for my own project??? I have a BUNCH of research experience from undergrad and honestly don't care if I publish or not, but some other students suggested that RA work seems useless. Idk, any thoughts are appreciated

TBH.. if you will just be doing data entry, it will not be worth your time (Unless you are able to write manuscript on it).

Why not pick a topic, do a literature review and try to publish.
