GPA calculation Queens and Western?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering how they would calculate GPA moving forward? They take the last 2 years (for western) best 2 for queens. Both are removing the Gpa from winter 2020. I am assuming their using fall 2020 and winter 2021. So how will it work?

Are they using the fall 2019 semester as one full year in the GPA calculation then?

Thanks!

Queens look at your most recent two years, while Western takes into account your best two years! I emailed Queens not too long ago and from the reply that I got, they will use the most recent semesters, so if you are applying this year, they will only consider your 2019 marks (both semesters) and Fall 2020 Grades. However, I don't know what will they do for next year's application. I think they will use your Fall 2019, Fall 2020, Winter 2021  grades?

I'm assuming, most schools will do the same thing too since a lot of them have committed to removing Winter 2020 in their GPA calculations.

They will consider it as a full year when it comes to identifying whether you meet their minimum (e.g., Western's cut off).
