Are you referring to the 2015 mcat expiring? Also @everyone does the new MCAT have an expiry date at ubc? I tried to look for this info on the site, but it seems like ubc only mentions the 2015 one expiring

Yeah, MCAT is only valid for 5 years after you write it. I have one more cycle left after this before I would have to rewrite.

if OAS is crashing i’m guessing rejects are about to be sent out. way more rejects than invites so it prob puts more strain on their server.

hey i was thinking about doing this. 

i am doing some pre-reqs on the ubc extended learning website. did you find that it impacted your GPA? thats what im nervous about with those computer classes.

I think it is because there are still more invites to go out. Last year the slots filled up soooooooo fast.

My money is on the latter. They probably did tons of extra slots since it’s online and there’s some asynchronous part

I think it’s too hard to say. But I do think we would have heard by now if there was more invite waves after 10:42 am. I’m guessing if you haven’t heard by now it’s a rejection. I’m just hoping they tell us today and don’t wait til next week to do that.

Could you let us know how many interview slots are still open? How many are taken so far? Hopefully these two numbers add up to 700 (610 IP interview candidates + 90 OOP interview candidates)

Got an invite at 10:17 am. Third year applying, third interview. Probably my last time applying because I’m not getting younger   My last name starts with A and there were many interview spots available, so that’s hope for those later alphabet people!

Looks like there's ~500 interview spots still available. Not sure if it's updating real-time though

a lot of pessimists here lol. I think most of the people we have heard that got an invite had early alphabet last names. not one has said something like S or Z so just relax, UBC people have to eat lunch too.

I can currently see 18 slots, and 40 maximum for each slot I think.. that takes it to 720 interview spots... most slots have over 50% of the spots remaining... I think there is still a chance for people who havent heard back yet!

I dont know about this. But what would explain the interview tab on last years application cycle? The weird thing is that the interview tab says that its for 2020-21 cycle.
