Canadian Loan for US dental school

I am not familiar with how the process works for receiving a loan from either the Canadian federal government or provincial (I'm from Ontario). Does anyone know how the process works? Thanks!

I think you can get some OSAP (roughly 8,000 per year) but the main loan to pay for school would not be from the government and instead would be from a private bank.

I went to a US dental school and graduated in 2016. Mine wasn't technically a loan but a line of credit that I had to require a co-signer for (my parents).

You need a cosigner

there are some banks that offer professional student line of credit for programs in US. I talked to an advisor at Scotiabank last week and he helped me with my application. His name is Harry and you can reach him at 613-564-5253 x 4452!

It depends on which dental school you plan to attend. If you plan to attend a Canadian dental school, you may be eligible for loans from the Canadian federal government or your provincial government. However, if you plan to attend a U.S. dental school, you will not qualify for loans from the Canadian government.
