Quebec Residency from Ontario?

I noticed that Quebec residency programs on the CARMS website say that they take into consideration med school marks. Ontario is P/F so not sure how that would work?

I guess my question is also more general. How does it work to match to Quebec from Ontario med school? I couldnt find anything about it?

It works the same. 
The French med schools are all P/F now as far as I know and are used to getting McGill apps (which has been P/F forever), so it should be fine.
The transcripts will probably be used as a red flag.

Do you know if there is a strong preference for Quebec applicants or it works out that way because of French?

I wouldn’t think so, I think it’s just that the vast majority of applicants are from Quebec.

Beyond the language issue, there is no preference for Quebec applicants.  Francophones from Ontario do match into French-speaking Quebec schools (although home-school matching is often higher in Quebec).
