ECs (CV): 4 years of undergraduate research, 4th author on a psych paper, one global health case study in an undergrad journal (minor but I included anyways), co-president of premedical club and helped launch an award for undergrad students, hospital volunteering in dialysis and ED for 3 years, first-aid training at St. John Ambulance, TEAM Mentor for 2 years, part-time work with Kaplan Test Prep (3 years), undergraduate program mentor for 2 years. Some undergraduate entrance scholarships, bursaries, and graduation awards.
Year: Finished UG, currently taking gap year.

Feelings about Casper: Feels meh but good enough for an II as an OOP at McMaster and Dal. Placed in 1st (85-100th) quintile in Manitoba and told to be very high/significantly higher than average/competitive for other Casper schools from MUN.

EDIT: I got it. 3rd app cycle. Years and years of hard work and doubting myself. I almost didn't apply to McGill because why would I when I couldn't even succeed in Ontario? Yall can do this!

Yes, people often cite the "academic context" portion as the McGill consideration of a "grad applicant bonus".

They updated the application portal page at around 9 or 10 am last year. They sent out emails at night afterwards

I know, my cGPA is kind of low, but I still wanted to apply because its I realized I wanted to be a doctor after working with some patients and realizing I really enjoyed helping, treating and caring for them. I actually didn't try to get a good cGPA in my undergrad since I hadn't really thought about medical school, I was focused on learning and applying what I learned in real life as well as having a social life. But YOLO so, why not, I thought I try my luck.

I'll update this once I get an answer, but you guys probably already know what the result will be :p

Nothing special to be honest, just clinical experience and member of an Order. I also do pro-bono supervision and counselling for healthcare workers during COVID times. No research.

Feelings about Casper: I went well. I answered all questions with what I think is an adequate amount of detail. I did pretty good the first year, think I ranked 4-5 that year and last year did not get the breakdown. Got interview last 2 years. My science courses aren't stellar by any means which is what tanked me most likely.

Impressions sur le Casper : J'ai fini dans le top 100 en 2019 et j'ai été invitée aux entrevues de Sherbrooke l'année dernière, donc très bon. J'ai toujours beaucoup de plaisir à faire le Casper.

From what I saw on the forums last year, no it does not mean rejection. It updates periodically and its not a rejection unless you see the corresponding code

I don’t think so. So far 1 oop got an interview and 1 ip got a rejection so if that were true we would see the rejections already. I think they might be doing it 1 by 1. Last year they mostly came out at 10. One of my friends got an update before me last year

Maybe it has something to do with our rankings...? Or more realistically, our McGill ID, mine is kinda old.
