I'm interesting in doing some online prep. Feel free to message me if you are still looking for partners!

A little late but just for stats!

Result: Rejection

Time Stamp: 12:02pm

cGPA/wGPA: 3.93/3.98

Year: Graduated University 2019 (UG)

MCAT: 513 (130/126/129/128)

ECs: Decent I think, good enough for the rest of the Ontario schools (excluding NOSM - could not apply there!)

CASPer: Got Mac with 126 cars so must have been okay!

I think I can thank my 126 in CARS for this one :') The R e-mails always sting, but I'm very lucky to have been blessed with lots of opportunities this year! Good luck to everyone interviewing at Queens

I emailed Queen's asking if we need to introduce ourselves before answering each Kira Talent question and they said "no, as we indicated in the instructions we have provided in the FAQ’s, you dont have to".........what FAQs are they talking about? I don't see any FAQs

I received an email from them on February 10 with general information about the MMI. That email has the link to the FAQ.

There's no deadline for when we can complete the check-in right? I wasn't going to do it til Friday just because I've got a busy week ahead, just wanted to double check that's ok?

i'm pretty sure there's no deadline!! if it's your first time using the platform though, i'd recommend popping on there a little earlier if you can just in case you face technical issues (on the other hand, if you have prior experience with kira talent then i don't think you would have to worry at all) :)

Result: Interview (MD)

cGPA/wGPA:  3.80-3.82 (unsure how they calculated gpa with dropped winter 2020 semester)

Year: 4th year undergrad

MCAT: 509 (128/128/125/128)  --- there's hope for 125 section scores!

ECs: One written pub (fifth author), one oral presentation (second author). One summer of part time research, one summer of full time research with NSERC USRA. President of large society representing my faculty, coordinator of science outreach activities, lots of lifeguarding hours, teaching assistant, etc.

Very excited, thought I would be screened out due to GPA or my BBS score. Good luck to everyone!

Just received my panel interview invite!!!!

First time posting ever and I'm sorry I'm late but here fore the stats:

Result:  Panel Interview (MD)

Time Stamp: March 15 11:44am EDT

GPA:  according to OMSAS a 3.7 (there's hope y'all) but I also do have an MSc

Year: Finished my MSc in 2018

MCAT: 514 (130/127/129/128) - my third time writing this exam! Last time was 5 years ago, so never give up and keep trying!

ECs: lots to be honest and likely one of the reasons I got an interview in the first place. A few papers and medical textbook chapter co-authorships. I work as a clinic researcher and I'm an EA to a specialist in metabolic bone disease. Executive director of an NGO, have 15yrs volunteer experience al my local youth group, run my own baking business, lots of research experience from undergrad, 5yrs TA experience at University of Waterloo, MSc, and employment, awards and scholarships from various art competitions and rapid research presentations.

CASPer: Honestly not too bad I think - I studied hard and even paid for a course as I thought maybe this was why I didn't get an interview before and wanted as much help as I could get. Didn't get any interviews to McMaster but that could also be because of my verbal score.

I've been trying for 7 years... This is my 6th application and the first time I got an interview. Don't give up on your dreams everyone. Use this time to keep improving and keep trying! You got this!!!!

Today's my mum's birthday. I'm going to go get her some flowers and surprise her with my panel interview news.

I love seeing stories like these - our situations have some similarities. I got a panel this morning too! Let me know if you're looking for people to prep with :)
