What happens if you fail CCFP as an incoming plus one?

If you fail the CCFP exam and are accepted to a plus one program, do you just write the exam again in the fall and continue with PGY3?

Does it have an impact on whether you can start the +1 program? Will the PGY3 program be made aware of it? 
Couldn't find these answers online, so would appreciate any guidance.

You would write the exam gain in fall and continue with PGY3. 

It doesn't impact your PGY3. You might want to take dedicated time off before the fall CCFP exam.
