Interview invite date

Recommended Posts

I know the MUN site says that everybody will receive invites by December 15, but does anybody think it might be earlier? Just wondering if this differs from other years, as I know they tend to come out in October.

As an aside, MUN does not confirm receiving MCAT scores, correct? I've released mine to CaRMS but am paranoid that I've done something wrong.

I was actually just logging in to post about this - I think the fact that the Admissions Timeline that they have posted says that the committee will be reviewing applications from Sept. to Nov. is an indicator that they are being more thorough with reading our stuff this year. (Which is good news for OOPs, which is a hyper-competitive pool - maybe those us of with less than 4.0 and less than 520+ have a higher chance now if we have strong ECs (in MUN's eyes).)

It seems that last year, the Admissions Timeline webpage actually said that October would be when interviews come out (based on the 2020-21 interview invites thread). I also took the liberty to look at the Admissions Timeline webpage in 2018 (https://web.archive.org/web/20180706111217/https://www.med.mun.ca/Admissions/Important-Dates.aspx) and it also says October was for invites.

I think we can assume it will indeed be December this year - longer wait, sure, but I'll happily wait longer for higher chances of being viewed more holistically.

MUN indeed does not confirm receiving MCAT scores.

I stand corrected, MUN confirmed receiving my MCAT score on the app now.
