who_knows
I was wondering, if the majority of my rotations (80+%) are away rotations, will it look strange on my CaRMS application? Additionally (and I understand you may not know that), will it affect how I am looked at at my home school?
Pakoon
Assuming you are in 4th year, there is no away rotations for M4s at the moment. If you are in 3rd year it's still up in the air whether there will be away rotations at all. If you're in 2nd or 1st it might be a little to early to predict if away electives will even be a available in a few years. But to answer the question, it depends on what specialty and what location you want to match to, doing more rotations in a specialty won't hurt you if you want to match into said specialty and the same can be said for location. bearded frog
Pre-covid, most electives were visiting electives. If you want to do psych, you would do psych at your home program then at as many other programs you wanted to go to, to get letters etc.
