Rosiglitazone Posted December 17, 2021 Report Share Posted December 17, 2021 Hey all, the OAS says that "the service referee should be someone who has supervised or managed you in a post-high school voluntary or paid position that involved service to the community". Although I do have a service referee, it's won't be very strong due to the fact that I don't work closely with the supervisor. However, I have been working in a small community healthcare setting part-time for the past 5 years, which serves a large ethnic community in the Lower Mainland. I usually deal and work with a diverse population in this setting. I feel that choosing the reference from my part-time job would be much stronger, but I'm not sure how it'll be received by adcoms. I am also using a supervisor from a paid healthcare position as my service reference as I feel they can best talk about the qualities they are asking about.
