notpremed Posted December 29, 2021 Report Share Posted December 29, 2021 If anyone's curious about the stats needed to get an interview, I came across this table that tells you the required Casper, CARS, and GPA combo. Please don't take it too seriously, since McMaster's calculations are based on the scores of every single applicant in the pool, and no one can know this except McMaster. I would say though if your Casper score is at least 10-15% over the listed score, an interview's definitely likely! Just to add on - Mac was late last year (Jan 14) because they also had to separate and consider the individuals who were guaranteed an interview because of their horrid lottery system in 2020. I’m also trying to avoid thinking about those dates as much as possible - luckily got shifted for work Jan 6-13 so I’m just going to pretend med school isn’t a thing and keep myself busy. I hope everything works out for all of us. ❤️ For what it's worth they also sent the acknowledgement email 8 days earlier than last year as well so hopefully that means they'll come out earlier than last year as well. I’ve seen a few posts in the past where people with similar stats receiving interviews so I’m a little hopeful but also nervous knowing my chances are slim. good luck to everyone!! They won’t actually see your percentile, this is relevant to those who wrote the test on the day you did. They will in fact see your raw score, which is much more accurate.
