For most borderline competitive and competitive programs in Canada, majority of medical students apply broadly, meaning that you will see very close to the same number of applicants applying to most schools. It doesn't matter what school they are coming from since the number of spots doesn't change. In the past when interviews were in person, you would typically see the same people over and over again.
