What are asynchronous virtual interviews?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! How do asynchronous virtual interviews work? I've only ever done live interviews, so I'd really appreciate any information on what this process is like. Are you talking to an interviewer? Or are there just a set of questions that come up? And are the questions person to you and your accomplishments, or just a standard set of questions that everyone has to answer? For context, I'm interview for the University of Toronto, who are using the Kira Talent platform for their interviews.

Thanks in advance!

Asynchronous means you are being recorded and someone will review your responses later. There won't be an interviewer present with you while you are answering interview questions. My assumption is the questions will typically not be individualized in nature. I have not done one personally, only heard about them from others from last year.
