U Of M GPA Scale Calculation

Hello

I wanted to know how many grade points does UofM give to A-. Is it the same as A that is 4.0?

Yes, both an A and A- are a 4.0/4.5 on the Manitoba scale. Similarly, both a B and a B- are a 3.0/4.5. This is because Manitoba gives an A for a grade between 80-90 percent whereas other schools will give an A for 85-90, and A- for 80-85.

This is assuming that you're on the normal Canadian scale that gives A+ grades. My understanding is that a different and disadvantageous conversion is used for McGill and US schools that don't have A+ grades and the highest grade is capped at an A.
