jaggerjade
Hello everyone, I am an incoming grade 12 BC student and I am wanting to leave BC for undergrad and either go to Alberta or Manitoba as I want to study there so the IP status is more like a bonus for me if anything. As such, I view Alberta and Manitoba more or less equally but I am wanting your guys' thoughts on if it would be a good idea to do this? On that note, is it safe to rather do undergrad at UofWinnipeg instead of UofManitoba due to the smaller class sizes and lower tuition? Thank you. modhas
Both of them have their benefits. I am currently at Uwinnipeg and I love it, the small class sizes are a bonus and since the campus is small it's easy to get from one class to another quickly. The only downside is the area of the city that it is in, it can sometimes be unsafe although I have never had any problems. Umanitoba is a lot bigger both in terms of class size and how big the campus is, but if there is a specific program that interests you, then you're more likely to find that at U of M because there are simply more programs there. Also, minor but if/when you do apply to U of M medicine, you won't have to send a transcript to them if you go to U of M, they will obtain it for you. Personally, I'd say Uwinnipeg is definitely a good option and IMO the better of the two.
