Volunteer opportunity - Social Media Content Manager for a community Health Centre

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

This is SHC, UBC MD 2010. I am a community specialist. This forum helped me big time 16 years ago when I was applying - it's nice to see that it's still going strong.

My clinic in Richmond, CRC Health Centre, is a multidisciplinary facility with GPs, specialists, pharmacists, and nurses. We serve over 30,000 patients. Our goal is to provide quality health care within the MSP system while raising public awareness on various health topics such as management of chronic disease.

We are in the midst of expanding our social media presence including Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, and LinkedIn, and we would like your help.

We are looking for a social media manager to create, manage and circulate content on: health services that we provide to the community, events hosted by our community partners such as SUCCESS, UBC iCON, and general health information (eg. basic info on cholesterol and hypertension).

You will be working closely with our department leads (GP, specialist, nurses, and administration) in creating and uploading content on a regular basis.

We hope that you will gain valuable experiences in communication, knowledge translation, teamwork, health advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration - invaluable skills that are vital for us to work in any field.

The hours are flexible. But we would appreciate your physical presence at the health centre from time-to-time to assist us in recording videos on patient/ public education.

If you are interested, please send a (brief) cover letter and your CV to our HR Department at

hr@crchealthcentre.com

Thanks for your attention, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

SHC
