uOttawa CASPER + GPA Balance

Recommended Posts

I've heard from many people that CASPER and GPA are the most important factors pre-interview, and if one of them is low, the other has to compensate for it. For example, a person with 3Q CASPER will need to have a 3.97+ GPA, but someone with 4Q can get an invite with 3.93-3.94+ GPA.

Are people just doing guesswork based on previous trends, or is this actually accurate?

hey guys, i am planning for Med school application at uOttawa for next cycle. I graduated with pretty good gpa ( 4.0 /4.0 ) and lots of diverse volunteering ( 600+ hours over 3 years)  and paid job experience but I zero hours for research.

What are my chances getting an interview without research?  I still have to take MCAT for other schools.

Thanks

Hi!
im from Quebec and I want to apply in med in Ottawa next year! The problem is I don’t know what grade I should have to be taken. The cutoff is 3,5/4,0 but is there really people that get in with low gpa like 3,5? If I apply with 3,7 do I have a chance?

The globale gpa is 3,93/4,0 but because it is not the last admitted, it is difficult to know what is good!

thank you in advance!
