Re-entry Training Process

Hello,

I have an interest in doing re-entry training in internal medicine. I would greatly appreciate if anyone with re-entry experience would be open to PM'ing to connect/discuss or sharing their below. 

I am familiar with the website describing the process (https://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/hhrsd/physicians/reentry.aspx) and have called to get further details, but it would be very helpful to hear from a physician who has been through the process.

I am a family physician who's primarily doing office and hospitalist work currently.

I don't have personal experience but I've looked into it. At each school there's an administrative person who deals with transfers as well as with re-entry training (separate from the administrative office) - you could try to reach out to them to hear about the process as well.

You cannot depend on acquiring re-entry training in Canada. Each province has its own bureaucratic maze to navigate, with many dead ends.

I recommend getting your USMLEs lined up and applying to American programs.
