Completed Hons. BSc from Toronto

Accepted: Toronto (going here), Western, Manitoba

Waitlisted: Queen's (pulled myself off)

No luck: UA, UBC, Calgary (soooo close to the cut-off), McGill

UofT GPA: ~3.8 (to lazy to calculate exactly)

MCAT: 36S

Research at St. Michael's Inner City Health Research Unit; Heart Transplant Program at Sick Kids

Lots of ECs (athletics, student groups, music etc) and volunteer work

Reference letters from: Sick Kids supervisor, health policy prof (taught a seminar and another small class), high school teacher (taught me in gr.9 and OAC, knows me and my community involvement really well). Only reason I put this info up is that it seems to be an important component of the application.

Hey Guys!

I'm from Ottawa Ont. and I also just finished my 3rd year in BHSc at McMaster.

This is my first time applying and I got acceptances from U of T and McMaster (waitlisted at Queen's).

I had a hard time deciding between the two schools, and although I love Mac I think U of T is the place for me.

GPA: 3.98 (OMSAS)

MCAT: 9/14/R/13 (VR/PS/W/BS)

I'm also really into Ultimate Frisbee so if anyone is interested in some pick-up, let me know!

I currently live in Alberta but for admissions purposes I am a B.C. and Alberta resident. Finished B.Sc in Biochemistry at UVic and M.Sc. in Immunology at U of A.

Undergrad GPA: ~3.75 (bombed first year but did much better in later years)

Grad GPA: 3.70

Physical Sciences: 11

Verbal: 9

Biological Sciences: 13

Written Sample: P

I was accepted by U of C, UBC (first choice IMP) and U of T.

Rejected pre-interview Queens, Western and Manitoba (application ineligible for Manitoba).

Waiting to hear from U of A (either waitlist or reject).

Second time applying to UBC, U of C and U of A.

Hey all,

Wow, great to know what amazing people I'll most likely be joining in the fall!

Accepted: U of T, Mac

Rejected pre-interview: Queen's, Western

GPA: 4.0

MCATS: 11P,11B, 9V

Clinical+ lab research, volunteering, leadership, blah blah

It's a tough decision between UT and Mac, but I guess I still have time to decide!
