Guest everyoneloveschem
Okay, here's an odd, totally un-medicine related question: How many of you use wash cloths (you know, the 10"x10" terry cloth squares too thin to be towels)? And if I'm not being too intrusive, why?

Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, Yep, I use washcloths. They're often more useful for getting soap out of the eyes and from under the chin without soaking oneself during a wash of the face. Cheers, Kirsteen
Guest bananacreampie
I have heard that it is a good idea to use washcloths because they aid in exfoliation (removing dead skin) of the face during washing. I used to have a friend who kept a giant basket of washcloths beside her sink and everytime she washed her face she would always use a new washcloth, she would never use one twice. It was a lot of washcloths to wash! :b cheers, bcp
Guest dopetown
Well, there's girls for you. not all girls of course. You won't catch as many guys using wash cloths. How else can we look rugged and manly? -dopetown
Guest sparkle
mmm..well, I use to use wash clothes a few years ago because they help keep water on my face and not running down my arms/neck but then I realized they'd get dirty and stinky too quickly so I gave up on them. But now that Kirsteen reminded me how convenient they are and bananacreampie thoughts on keeping a basket-full beside my sink, perhaps I'll give it another try. btw, rugged...yes, manly...mmm??? :lol
Guest physiology
I don't use terri cloths because I don't wash my face before I sleep. It just doesn't feel dirty. In fact, I did it once, and got zits, so never again I said to myself. If I feel really dirty, then it's usually not just my face that's dirty and I'll just shower instead. Again, I just rinse my face with water, no soap, no rubbing, and of course, no terri cloth
Guest Jerika81
I'm with you on this one physiology. No wash cloths for me (and I'm a girl). Then again I was one of those kids who only showered once a week until about grade 7...
Guest everyoneloveschem
I was curious because a guy I work with mentioned not getting a washcloth when he stayed somewhere. I've never really understood what they were really for, I had this notion that old ladies used them to have baths, but that was it, so I was a bit surprised to hear this guy say he missed having one. I wonder if its an inherited character, the use of washcloths?
Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, I wonder if its an inherited character, the use of washcloths? If it is inherited then it may skip a generation and may be latent. In my case, I don't believe either of my parentals use a washcloth and I only saw the washcloth light about a month ago. (I now keep a stack beside the sink and seemingly do the laundry with a much greater frequency. ) In short, if you've never tried one, give it a go. Less soaking of the sink periphery and forearms!
