So sick of waiting!!!!

Only 2 1/2 weeks till we get the word from Ontario med schools, and I can't wait!

Last night I dreamt that I got accepted at all of the schools I applied to, and I was so excited. Then I woke up and realized that I didn't actually know yet (sigh).

Anyway, I suppose I will just have to try to keep myself busy with work, wedding planning and the MCAT course I am teaching for Kaplan...but oh the waiting seems so LONG...

Hope the rest of you are finding ways to keep busy!

Hi Nightriders,

I too am struggling through this wait. It seems to be going so slowly, and I can't think of much else! Good luck to all!

Cheers,

Melissa

Hi there,

Last night I dreamt that I got accepted at all of the schools I applied to, and I was so excited.
Maybe that's a good omen! ;) From which Ontario schools are you waiting to hear?

I agree with you though--this part of the month seems to be moving a little more slowly than the first part.

Cheers,

Kirsteen

Funny, I had a very similar dream.

Though I get to find out next Monday...

My mind is playing tricks on me, since this was rather of a "lucid dream" variety, and I woke up feeling like wtf? still in bed.

Ah well, back to thesis.

Yes, I too have had dreams of of being accepted. Two actually!!! But then I did also have one dream where I got rejected - that one wasn't as fun as the the others:p

I think we could make a film documentary about the med. school application process -it would probably be something like that movie "Spellbound", the one with all the kids in Spelling Bee contests. :lol hehe the horror.

Anywho, here's hoping to good news soon!

What's worst than waiting is having to answer questions about the application process with your friends, parents, uncles, aunts, etc. Whenever I express doubts about my admission chances, I get sympathetic looks with comments like "Oh yeah, you need really high grades to be a doctor, are your grades bad?"

Chin up guys...

All in good time, everything just ends up working somehow :P

NCV, a couple more days...(btw, where's my grapefruit)

As for R2detoo, there was a documentary made in Quebec that followed three students through their applications in the Quebec system, following them throughout the interviews at McGill, Sherbrooke, Montreal and Laval. And then the waiting time and finally up to the point of acceptance. One of the 'stars' is now in my class. We tease him sometimes, as being one of the famous ones ;)

My chin is up on this sunny day in Montreal.

The grapefruit juice is waiting for you on my table on St-Denis.

Now, the final weekend, I remember that 80's song during the Stanley Cup run of the Habs in 86...The Final Countdown?

I did not sleep much yesterday night, so I woke up early to do some cleaning...alas, still nothing. Although I got into law at UdeM, is that a bad sign if they send your acceptance in your second choice?

Don't worry if they post your second choice....it will be closed once your first choice accepts you ;)

Chin up...it's a beautiful day...must be a good sign. Here's hoping that everything goes great !!

I just called UdeM. They said they are waiting for the provincial answer for the class size...I don't know if it is likely to increase or decrease. So basically the poor secretary did not have an answer to all of us anxious to know, she was very nice though.

Tomorrow or in 5 days I have no idea.
