Guest AceUBC
Hey, I'll be starting 1st year Med this fall, and I've checked the UBC Calendar to find out that Reading Week this year is Feb. 13-17. Wondering if Reading Week applies to med students as well, and if med students generally go away during this time? (I'm thinking of going to a couple of Olympic hockey games in Italy but wanted to find out if this is realistic first!). TIA
Guest physiology
Hello, Well, in short, you guys don't really have a reading week. It's more of a reading weekend - with the Friday and Monday off. Unfortunately, it did NOT coincide with the rest of the university's reading week. Reading week, I mean reading weekend, happened the same weekend as your interviews. So I believe that was the last week of February. However, you MAY get an extra week off in the beginning of January. Don't laugh at your fellow undergrads though, because that week off costed us an extra week of school in June. So in medicine, there are never any free-rides Cheers, Physio
