IB English good enough?

I took the good old IB program in high school, and got a 5 in English, which satisfies the English requirement for most degree programs I've looked at. Any input if it's good enough for MUN's requirements? Oh, and as an out of province student, does anyone know what out of provincers had to make it in this past year in terms of GPA and MCAT's? Thanks for the help.

The odds of getting into MUN MED from out of Newfoundland is very very slim. I think each year they take 1-2 out-of-province applicants. The exception is NB and PEI residents, who have reserved seats, and for international applicants, who pay $30,000 a year to attend MUN MED. (as opposed to ~$6500 for a Canadian).

As for IB English, I took it too (and also got a 5)... however, I also took English courses during my undergrad (and got A's), and used those instead.

The word is that they "will consider" IB English for the admissions requirement. I'd call them and get a definate answer before I bothered with applying.
