Guest thegamez
hi guys,, I just realized that in my first year of university, i had 4 course in fall and 4 in semister (each course = 3 credits) and 1 full year course (3 credits course not 6) does this limit me by anyway from applying .. i mean does my 1st year satisfy the minimum course load to apply to med schools? this thing is freaking me .. any input? Guest aneliz
It sounds like you only took 27 credits in first year... a full time year is 30 credits. So, yes, this would impact your application to med school. You would not be able to use your first year GPA for UWO, and the weighting scheme used by UofT would no longer apply to you. Provided you take a full course load in future years however, it will not prevent you from applying.
Guest thegamez
I just looked @ my first year's courses .. i had three 4 credit courses (had a lab components to them) and total # of credits is 31.. is it workable now?
Guest TheShrink
I would say yes because the labs count as 4 each. You're good to go! But in the future just make sure you take min. of 5 courses or do something outside of school that takes 3 hours a week.
