Aw, thanks! Can't complain considering I have 1 acceptance. At the end of the day we will fulfill the MD 2015 dream and that's all I can ask for .

 

I should know about NYU by March 1 at the latest. It's a really good school and I would love the dilemma of choosing medical school programs. I know my MCAT drop may be offsetting schools (heck, it shocked me...I was much more confident about it than my 1st 33R and yet dropped, grateful I don't have to take it a 3rd time!), but hopefully NYU will look past it now that they decided to interview me .

That said, I learned something new today. I mistakenly thought all FL schools were restricted to us Canadians. FIU is an exception I did not notice.

 

No shame though. BU >>> FIU AND apparently their tuition/living expenses are close to 90K at FIU. The US is expensive but damn that's pretty high up there.

Hey! yup, not too worried about it. Even if BU hadn't worked out, I probably wouldn't have gone to Florida. It's too far from home I think I was just panicking back in July so I ended up adding a bunch of schools which I shouldn't have.I got rejected from all of them, FIU, Penn state, Maryland. Still haven't heard back from Tufts but that too would probably be a no.

 

I think BU's living+tuition estimate was around $80 K...not too far from that!

 

I hear ya! Random aside:Florida is pretty sweet this time of year.

I'm getting excited that the end to this process is in sight. This has been a more nerve-racking year than I would have liked it to be...damn nerves.

 

We're some of the very fortunate on these boards to at least have an acceptance in place in the US if all burns to hell with Canadian apps. Looking forward to a carefree summer (as carefree as possible if moving is involved) for the first time in 3 years.

 

Although who knows...I may stumble upon a project I'm excited about and slave away, but in the end it's finally medical school time come August .

I only applied to wayne state and i had sent in my secondary by october i think - but i still havent heard back from them, just wondering are they still going to be sending interview invties this late or is not getting a reply from them equal to rejection lol

My application was complete at Wayne in September and I also haven't heard back from them. You can go to the 2010-2011 Wayne thread on SDN, and you can check for people who received interviews when they were complete. I think at this point it's pretty much a rejection...

I interviewed at Wayne State just last week, and I know that they still have a couple days that they are sending out acceptances, so I'm assuming that they have a couple more interview days. My gf (not on the forum) got an interview invite to Dartmouth today, so I guess you never know, you might still hear.

I only applied to Queen's/Ottawa/Western/Toronto, and have been rejected from all those, so Canada is out the window.

 

I'm still undecided which US school that I've gotten into is my top choice. I think Michigan State CHM is going to be it though. Need more time to think, thank god we get time to decide!!

Congrats on all your acceptances! I really enjoyed going to med school in the US and it was definitely worth the extra $$$. I hope you'll have the same experience. Those are great schools. You can't really go wrong.
