OOP Applicants

What type of GPA/MCAT is competitive for out of province students? Also, how do they weigh GPA, MCAT, essays, references, and the interview in their decision? Also, I heard Calgary doesn't take that many 3rd year students... since this is the only OOP school I can apply to this year (as I can't fit an English course into my schedule until next summer), would I just be better off sticking to the Ontario schools this year, and if I need to try again next year, apply all over Canada?
