How far back should one go when listing extra-curricular activities that we've done? Only post-secondary experiences? Last 5 years?

<pagetext>Okay - so there's 4 parts to this question: the challenge, how I met it, the result and how it affected me. Now, should I devote more words/lines to one part over the other? In the other trends, I got the impression that the "challenge" should be brief and one should devote more time to how it "affected" me. Am I on the right track?

Personally, I've devoted equal "space" to each sub-question but I'd like to change this if I should be talking more about the result than the challenge.
