What's the current situation with tuition at Calgary?

 

When I look on the U of C website I'm seeing an approximate $5000-$7000 price tag... but I heard from some people they are upping it to the (approx) $15 000 price that is seen in some Ontario schools.

 

Was this a rumour or true? If true, then how long before they hit that $15k mark??

maybe I'm getting ahead of myself and shoulnt worry about such things until I know whether I'm even getting an interview

<pagetext>Can someone shed some light? U of C's website states that they "recommend" 1.0 courses in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, organic chemistry, English, physics and physiology, as well as 0.5 courses is psychology, sociology or anthropology and statistics or calculus. Are these truly just recommendations, or are they requirements? I have most, but only have 0.5 courses in English (plus OAC English) and don't have biochemistry. Do I need to take these courses before applying? If so, can I take them the year I'm applying. (I'm not applying until next year.)

 

Also, does U of C truly only consider two years when calculating my GPA? I had a very much less than stellar performance during my initial crack at university 8 and 9 years ago. Since returning last year, I've maintained a 3.8 average. Do they really not rule me out due to those Fs?
