GPA calculation

according to the website:

"full-time study is considered by the Faculty of Medicine

at the University of Calgary to be a minimum of eight half-

courses or four full-courses taken between September-

April of an academic year (most accepted students will

have taken ten half-courses or five full courses/year)."

Does this mean that they will take your best 2 years, as long as they are between 4 and 5 full course weights??

The reason I ask is because I have 3 years that have 5 full-course weights, and my 4th year has only 4.5 courses.... but that 4th year is my best.

It makes a significant difference in my GPA... (3.64 vs. 3.83)

thanks for your help!

Hi there,

Yes, it does mean that your year of 4.5 course weights would be used, if it is one of your two best.

Cheers and good luck this year,

Kirsteen
