Carving

So I did some practice carving this morning, and took out some soap out of the box only to notice that they had little oil sweat beads. Nasty. Now the question is, am I allowed to bring anything in (eg. tissue) to wipe the soap down or wipe my hands? and at the same time, wipe off soap bits that stick to the blade?

I wrote it at U of T and they gave us a single sheet of paper towel. That should be good enough I guess, I botched the carving anyways so it didn't matter, lol.
