paperweight
Are there statistics for any medical schools that show the number of applicants from various schools, and how many were accepted from each school? I believe UofT's medical school used to present statistics like these, though I can't seem to find any recent information.
Jixe
http://www.afmc.ca/docs/2006_admissions_book.pdf You will never find the sort of information you are looking for. Schools state that there is no discrimination on where you come from, and as such, publishing data that says otherwise would be contradictory. It would also be misleading as some undergraduate schools have a great number of medical school applicants. What you COULD do, is talk to your school's undergraduate Biology (or Chemistry, etc.) department and ask them how many students matriculate into medical schools and which ones; they should have this information. Kirsteen
Hi there, I haven't been on their admissions site in a while, but UBC's medical school used to publish demographics on their matriculating classes. The statistics used to include factors such as prior degree(s), ages, etc. Cheers, Kirsteen
