MCAT - online release or snail mail?

Hi there,

 

I just noticed on the application instructors that they want you to mail MCAT scores to the office?

 

Is it enough to just release them online (via AAMC website) or do I actually have to mail MCAT score report in paper format?

I had the same question when I applied and I believe the answer I was given was to snail mail a copy of my AAMC scores. Perhaps JewelLeigh can give a more up to date and official answer or you could phone.

so you just print out the officical score report?

 

in the aamc instructions, it says not to snail mail to those schools that are Thx recipients.

 

and it seems like hte mailing is our responsibiliyt, its not like it can be official through Thx.

 

anyway i'll try and print one and include it in my first envelope of stuff.

I am guessing, that the list just means, that like lor's and transcripts, the mcat scores are to be sent to the admissions and student affairs office. When you go through THx they send it directly to the school, but I am going to do what 007 said today, just in case.

yea i did it right now. i printed it off...it gives you a 'verification code' so i guess that is the mark of authenticity. if dal chooses to do so, they can go online and enter the verification code, and get my scores that way as well.

 

although my electronic thx request went through just fine.

I called Dal and was told that the online release is just fine, they do not need a printed copy. After reading this thread I was pretty worried. I submitted my application yesterday night and was contemplating printing off the score report and re-sending a copy of the whole application! Phew!

LoL, I mailed mine yesterday too and after reading this thread I sent in my mcat scores as well....I didn't resend a whole application though just a seperate sheet. I guess it was unnecessary, ohwell thats fifty cents I will never see again.
