oldest med student ever

Anybody know the age of the oldest person ever accepted to medical school?

 

Just wondering how many years of trying might be ahead of me

I don't know if he's the oldest, but I once saw a guy on McMaster's 'Med students' on the Life Network who was in his early 50's. I believe he was a teacher before. It was really great to see that he was so enthusiastic about going through the program at his age and fulfilling a life-long dream. It gives new meaning to the phrase 'it's never too late'.

Dunno, but I remember seeing a 58-yo applying to U of Minnesota med school. He didn't get in.
