immunology or biotech?

AMmd

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I need some advice, I'm in my final year of undergrad and next semester I have to chose btw immunology or biotech. I am debating btw the two because 1) biotech has a lab with the course and 2) the prof teaching immuno is not very interesting (i heard)...

so any advice? did any of you take those courses before? which one did you like the best?

at bishops u. i dont think there are many ppl from the uni here tho... its a pretty small uni.

but i think the courses are pretty much the same everywhere.. so i was wondering if you could give me a general idea

I'd say go immunology. I am not in medical school, but I'd assume it would help you more. Plus, no lab!

I am in med school, and my advice is:

Do whichever one you're most interested in. Read over the syllabus, glance at the text in the library, chat with the profs, and you'll probably know after doing that.

Or, find out which one you're likely to get a better mark in (spoken like a true pre-med).

I haven't taken biotech but I took and absolutely loved immunology (then again I had no lab and an outstanding prof who now teaches at Texas A&M med school).
