My GPA is not at the competitive level and I was just wondering if you thought it would be wise to do a complete 5th year with 10 courses to bring up my GPA. Jade Posted November 6, 2006 Report Share Posted November 6, 2006 At UBC, they look at your overall average (not GPA - percentage average), last two years average, and your prerequisite average. If you are in your fourth year right now, I'm not sure how much a straight A+ 5th year (even with a full courseload) can raise your overall GPA. However, an excellent 5th year can definitely boost your last two years average, and even your prerequisite average if you still have some prerequisites left.
