reference letter for NY medical college

Hello,

The NYMC secondary application states:

"If your college does not have a Premedical Committee,

Letters of Evaluation from three undergraduate professors (including at

least two from science (biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics

faculty) are required. These must come from faculty who have taught you

in class or have supervised independent research for which you have

received credit."

I have a master's degree so the following applies to me:

"If you are a matriculated graduate student or you have completed a

graduate degree, please read this section.

In addition to the undergraduate evaluation letters:

* A letter from a faculty member in your department is

required. It must be from a faculty member whose class you attended or

with whom you did research. If the letter is from a science faculty, it

can substitute for one undergraduate science letter."

I took an undergraduate course during my graduate studies. Can this professor provide me with a reference letter to count towards the undergraduate letter requirements? I emailed the school and they have not been helping in clearing this up. Any help would be great, thanks.

It's possible but I wouldn't guess when it comes to NYMC. They are crazy.

Last year when I applied there, they rejected my application because one of my reference letters was from a Pharmacology professor and they don't consider pharmacology to be a science course...

Call them and make sure before you send anything and waste your money on the secondary.

That is overtly intense.

Sounds like they're trying to reject anyone they can. Overtly intense all the way!
